The second volume in a set of two, again featuring madrigals from Spain, Germany, Italy, France and England. This collection contains madrigals for 5 voices, including Thomas Morley's salute to the arrival of spring, "Now is the month of Maying", with which the King's Singers have often opened a group of English madrigals in their concerts. Other works include Hassler's invitation to dance,"Tanzen und Springen", De Weert's lament,"Valle che de lamenti miei", and Banchieri's animal menagerie, "Contrapunto Bestiale".
